Urbanbling is a boutique jewelry brand offering a curated collection of high-quality pieces. They needed a professional digital presence to establish their brand and provide a premium online shopping experience that reflected the quality of their products.
The primary challenge was to launch a new jewelry brand with a website that could convey a sense of luxury, quality, and trust. Unlike a general e-commerce store, a jewelry site must overcome buyer hesitation by providing a secure, professional, and visually compelling experience that convinces customers to purchase high-value items online.

My approach was to leverage the power of WordPress and WooCommerce to build a flexible and scalable e-commerce solution. This allowed us to meet all the client’s requirements while ensuring the site was easy to manage in the long run. I focused on building a secure, user-centric, and fully optimized platform that prioritizes visual appeal and customer trust.
My process began with a deep-dive into the client’s needs to build urbanbling website that was not just a digital store but a powerful business asset. Here’s a breakdown of the key areas I worked on:
Before a single line of code was written, I focused on understanding the business of Urbanbling to build a strategic foundation and user-friendly experience.
Conducted a comprehensive analysis of the client’s business goals, target audience, and product catalog to define the project’s scope.
Performed research on key competitors to identify market trends, successful features, and opportunities for differentiation in design and functionality.
Mapped out the website’s structure and designed a logical user flow to ensure a seamless and intuitive shopping experience, from landing page to checkout.
Created initial wireframes and design mockups for key pages (e.g., Homepage, Product Page, Checkout) to get client approval on the layout and visual direction.
Designed the layout and content for a mobile-first experience, ensuring the site is fully responsive and performs optimally on all devices.
I leveraged powerful platforms to build a scalable and robust e-commerce engine that could meet all of the client's needs.
Advised on and configured a reliable web hosting environment and connected the domain name.
Set up the latest version of WordPress on a secure hosting environment.
I chose WooCommerce over other platforms because it provides the client with more long-term flexibility, full data ownership, and a cost-effective solution for their unique needs.
Developed a child theme to allow for safe customization without affecting the main theme, ensuring future updates would not break the site.
Populated the initial site content, including the homepage, “About Us” page, and a few sample products to give the client a working model to build upon.
To make the website unique and highly functional, I implemented custom features that made the shopping experience intuitive
Implemented and customized product variations for items with multiple options (e.g., different flavors, nicotine strengths) to provide a clear and organized selection process.
Built a unique header and footer design using Elementor to match the client’s branding and improve site navigation.
Configured the My Account page and created a custom login/registration form to provide a branded and secure experience for returning customers.
Implemented advanced search functionality and product filters, allowing customers to easily narrow down their product search based on categories, price, and attributes.
Set up shipping zones and calculated tax rules based on the client’s specific business location and delivery areas.
Here's how I ensured the site was not only beautiful and functional, but also fast, reliable, and secure for both the business and its customers.
Used a plugin to automatically compress and optimize all images uploaded to the site to improve page load times without sacrificing quality.
Configured a caching plugin to store static versions of the site, significantly reducing server response time for returning visitors.
Set up a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to serve site assets from servers around the globe, ensuring fast loading speeds regardless of the user’s location.
Installed and configured a backup plugin to schedule regular, automated backups of the entire site database and files, providing peace of mind and data protection.
Implemented security best practices, including regular software updates, strong password policies, and a firewall plugin to protect the site from common vulnerabilities.
Ensured the site had a clean URL structure, implemented proper heading tags (H1, H2), and configured basic meta tags to provide a strong SEO foundation for future growth.

The project successfully delivered a fully functional, easy-to-manage, and visually stunning e-commerce website. The streamlined design and clean user experience have provided a solid foundation for Urbanbling to serve its customers and grow its business online.
